UPDATE FROM PASTOR
Dear Church Family!
In critical times like these, everyone in our city, our state, our nation, and our world is forced to evaluate what really matters and what is non-essential. At the top of the list of things most important, is our relationship with God. Our prayer is that during this season, each of us will deepen our relationship with our Father-God, trusting Him to guide us, protect us, and provide for us. Secondly, our relationship with people is so valuable. Quality time with your family is essential.
Your church family and spiritual relationships are also essential. In this unprecedented situation, we are not able to gather together as a church family in our church building, but I want to help you maintain your spiritual connections with God and with one another. The entire WLCC staff has been working diligently to ensure that we continue to provide relational connections within the church body through our online services and social media, as well as ministry to our community. We encourage you to join our live-streamed church services! We have endeavored to make our online Church experience as personal and relevant as possible. The worship is live and I am still preaching on Sundays at 8 & 10 am 12 noon and 6:30 pm, and Wednesdays at 7 pm. LiV Youth and KMU are also available online. Below is a link to a modified church bulletin, which includes several online ministry opportunities and ways to stay connected. Please take advantage of the modern technology God has provided for such a time as this!
I realize some of you are not accustomed to tithing and giving online. If your preferred method of giving is by check, we have mailed out some giving envelopes to you. If you have not already turned in your A&B commitment, we have mailed commitment cards to you as well. (Please download the bulletin for A&B update.) You can send these items in the mail or drop them by the Church office. Our Church office has remained open, and we have continued to service people in need through our Food Pantry. We appreciate your prayers and your vital financial support during this crucial time!
We are endeavoring to stay in contact with our seniors and most vulnerable members due to the current Covid-19 threat, and we are thankful to report that all are doing well! We also encourage you to reach out to other church family members. We realize that some of you are out of work as a result of the federal and state mandates, while others of you have needed to stay home to take care of your children. Please know that our hearts are with you and we love you. We are praying for you and your families!
“And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4: 19)
Yours in Christ,
Pastors David & Vicki
